'Every so often, a voice comes along with the ability to bowl the listener over... that is Georgia Cécile.' - Wonderland
Winner of JazzFM UK Jazz Act Of The Year and Vocalist of The Year at the 2022 Awards, Georgia Cécile is at the helm of the new wave of UK jazz crossover artists. Inspired by the likes of Nina Simone, Duke Ellington, and Stevie Wonder, the vocalist and songwriter’s debut album ‘Only The Lover Sings’ topped the UK Jazz and Blues charts and Scooped ‘Best Album’ at the 2021 Scottish Jazz Awards. Co-written and arranged with her pianist and long-time collaborator Euan Stevenson, the album was described by BBC RADIO 2 as “possessing timeless values influenced by the great popular composers of the 20th century – particularly Duke Ellington and Stevie Wonder”.
