Eliza Legzdina

Eliza (El-lee-za) Legzdina is an “Eastern European icon-in-waiting” ~ Clash Magazine

Raised in Latvia under the post-soviet hangover, hearing sex discussed only from a male perspective.  As a Queer Eastern-European woman, Eliza’s music is unashamedly outspoken in its sex positive affirmation, her debut EP Iron Curtain Golden Pussy sticks a bejewelled middle finger up to the patriarchy.
Eliza’s fierce lyrics and high energy performances belie her classical training. As an opera singer from an early age, Eliza moved to the UK with a singing scholarship – where her talent for the classical was quickly blown out of the water by London’s grimey underbelly and her love of hip hop.

With influences from Joni Mitchell to the queens of Atlanta rap, Eliza’s sexy and honest music layers alternative RnB & Hip Hop beats with Jazz vocals and explicit poetry.
