TEKE::TEKE is a Japanese psych-rock band based in Montreal. It is made up of guitarists Sei Nakauchi Pelletier, Hidetaka Yoneyama, bassist Mishka Stein, drummer Ian Lettre, flutist Yuki Isami, trombonist Etienne Lebel and visual artist and singer Maya Kuroki. Featuring traditional Japanese instruments, flute and trombone alongside furious guitars and a thrilling rhythm section, TEKE::TEKE creates a sound reminiscent of psychedelic Japanese soundtracks of the 1960s and 70s, with a frenetic, modern twist.
