“Surreal electronic-punk trash-pop”
“Electronic post-punk sound that runs from a lineage of the likes of Le Tigre and Peaches”
Post punk duo Shelf Lives are bringing punk back to the house party. Formed in South London,
originating from Toronto Canada and Northampton their addictive sound is sass paired with heavy guitar and unforgiving bass.
Think of the acerbic art-rock of Le Tigre, the flailing intensity of The Prodigy, and the gritty garage-rock
inspired electro bombast of Peaches.
Being born with a bang in Oct 2021 with their first single ‘Shelf Life’ things haven’t slowed down for
these two. Three singles followed ‘Mark Twain’, ‘Shock Horror’ and ‘I don’t think I’ll Go Out Today’
which received great feedback including support from, Steve Lamacq and Amy Lamé BBC 6
Music. Their mini-album ‘YES, OFFENCE’ dropped just before joining Skunk Anansie on their
EU leg of tour. Making an impact – they’ve been tipped as being ‘Ones to Watch in 2022’ and
everyone is gagging for what is next from this uncompromising 2 piece.
