"One of the albums of the year" ~ ​Mr Bongo

Kinkajous ​explores the space between instrumental, jazz, orchestral and electronic music, drawing together the outfit’s diverse experiences from across the artistic spectrum. Led by drummer/producer Benoît Parmentier and saxophonist/ clarinetist ​Adrien Cau, they conjure up a powerful and cinematic sound, with a compelling mix of tonalities and influences drawn from their London home. 

Their debut album ‘Hidden Lines’, released in June 2019 on Nottingham label ​Running Circle, rapidly gained praise, receiving widespread support from ​the likes of Gilles Peterson, CLASH, Mr Bongo (Top 10 Album of the Year), NTS.

Joined by ​Jack Doherty (synths), Maria-Chiara Argirò (keys) and Andres Castellanos (bass), their live performances are exhilarating yet intimate, reflecting the band’s outstanding musicianship and versatility.

Notable performances in the UK and Europe include ​Bluedot Festival​, sell out shows at London’s ​Jazz Cafe, Manchester Jazz Festival​, ​Firenze Jazz Festival, Jazz Re:Found​, ​Jazz Re:Freshed, EFG London Jazz Festival,Secret Garden Party​.
