A producer, arranger and guitar player Arthur Verocai released a self-titled album on Brazilian based Continental Records that challenged the musical conventions of the day. – Mr bongo
He got his first break as an arranger aged 21, for the Brazilian singer Leny Andrade, after being spotted showcasing his work at music festivals, and was soon in high demand.
His music transcended Brazilian music, influencing artists like MF Doom, Ludacris, Common and many more who have sampled his works.
The revival of his work prompted Verocai to make more music. In 2002, he independently released the album Saudade Demais, followed five years later by Encore on London label Far Out Recordings.
